Psalms 119:9-16

 Personal Note:
Just in case anyone actually reads this blog, I have been in God's Word, but either haven't had access to the Internet or was doing an in-depth passage study for a Bible study. I've missed my study on Psalm 119, so will try to do it all.
Overview
The writer asks and then answers the question: How can you fully live the Christian life (How can a young man keep his way pure?) The answers are: by guarding your life the way God's Word teaches; by seeking God with your whole heart so that you don't wander or seek anything other than God's Word; memorize Scripture (store up your Word in my heart) - because that keeps you from sin; have a teachable spirit asking Him to teach you; say what you've memorized and know to others; value the Bible as much as you do all the riches of this world; determine/commit to meditating on the Word - fixing your eyes only on God's ways. If you do those things God's Word will be a delight and will keep you from forgetting the Bible.
Application
I cannot truly love something I do not know intimately. You do not love something that you only have a superficial understanding of - if you love it, you will want to know every facet of it. I will speak of it, memorize it, commit to doing what it says, think about it over and over, fix my eyes on Him alone. There is no excuse for lack of memorizing (Don Knotts syndrome is only for TV shows - not an excuse!!) Lord help me to fall in love with you more. You already love me more than I even know. Now, I want to fall in love with You so that others cease to see me and only see You!!
